SLMNT - Membership

All members of SLMNT must live in the South Loop area and have (or be expecting) at least one child kindergarten age or younger. Re-starting in 2025, all members are required to pay an annual $25 membership fee to cover the cost of our large events.

To join or renew your SLMNT membership, please fill out our Google Form and a member of the planning committee will reach out to you on how to pay your dues.

Rules

All members of SLMNT agree to the following rules:

Please be kind, courteous, and respectful of others. We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment.
Please respect everyone's privacy. Authentic discussions make SLMNT great, but may also be sensitive or private. What's shared in SLMNT stays in SLMNT.
No sharing our events or playdate details. For the safety and privacy of our members and kids, details of meetups, playdates and events are not to be shared outside the group. Members sharing screenshots or locations of our events will be removed from the group.
Playdates are for moms and kids only if held in a private home. Of course dads, nannies and caregivers at a park are fine. Dads are also welcome at family events!

Membership Boundaries

Our membership boundaries include Randolph Street to the north, Lake Michigan to the east, 22^nd Street to the south, and Canal Street to the west.

The boundaries are set up so that our children and families can continue to maintain contact, even after they enter elementary school. The boundaries are set up to follow the South Loop Elementary and National Teacher's Academy Elementary School’s boundaries.
